Data and Logistics Fellow

Full-time summer position in Nashville

D2D is a growing start-up organization that provides small school systems with actionable support to improve instruction so students can reach their full potential.

Despite working hard, instruction is not often at the level of rigor that the new standards demand. We believe that for teaching to improve and to better prepare students for the TNReady assessments and beyond, we need to reimagine support for teachers. This summer, D2D is launching a new statewide educator training series that offers targeted, grade-specific support in a single domain of the standards. The goal of Summer Bootcamps is to strengthen teacher understanding of the standards and the underlying content in order to ensure that students consistently receive on-grade level instruction. Additionally, we are launching a partnership with districts in Florida to strengthen instruction through professional development and instructional coaching.

D2D is seeking a Data and Logistics Fellow to support the implementation of these two programs. The Data and Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in leading the team’s data analysis and continuous improvement efforts and supporting a positive participant experience.

Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement:

  • Assist with creating participant surveys and data collection systems
  • Provide data briefs to inform improvements throughout course delivery
  • Produce presentations and reports to present collected data to multiple audiences, including internal and external stakeholders
  • Report on trends in data and make recommendations for improvement

  • Manage the preparation and sending of large scale, outgoing communications as well as responding to incoming messages
  • Assist with copy editing and review of training content
  • Support the posting, sharing, and organizing of digital materials.
  • Support overall logistics for trainings
    • May include some overnight travel in Tennessee during the Bootcamp training days.

  • Demonstrated achievement in a professional work
  • Strong data analysis and Excel skills
  • Experience managing multiple work streams
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with strong reasoning and communication skills and comfort with ambiguity
  • Strong desire to provide high-quality customer service

This position is based in Nashville, TN. It may require some overnight travel to other regions in the state during the training days.

This contract position will be paid a competitive hourly rate and is expected to run mid May through early August with an estimated 30-40 hours of work per week.
