ELA Content Coach Mentor - Florida - Remote

The ELA Content Coach Mentor will provide group and one-on-one support to district instructional coaches working with middle grades English language arts teachers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and detail-oriented educator with a strong background in instructional coaching and literacy in middle grades as well as developing and facilitating adult learning experiences. Candidates should be passionate about improving instructional effectiveness and believe in the potential of students, teachers, and districts.

Responsibilities:

  • Design content to support instructional coaches in deepening their content knowledge and coaching skill
  • Facilitate professional development for instructional coaches and school and district leaders
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching to ELA instructional coaches
  • Develop understanding of partner organizations content and how to support it
  • Stay current on research on instructional coaching and thoughtful on how new findings impact districts
  • Support planning and data collection for program monitoring and continuous improvement
  • This position is Florida based and remote.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as an administrator or instructional coach, with a record of success achieving clearly-defined outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for instructional coaching
  • Deep knowledge of literacy content and pedagogy in grades 6-8
  • Excellent organization and ability to meet deadlines; strong detail orientation
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience building positive relationships with diverse team members and stakeholders
